BASEBALL icon Alex Rodriguez’s first car was a hand-me-down Mazda with brakes that did not work.
The New York Yankees legend has since assembled an insane million-dollar car collection which includes luxurious Mercedes, Rolls-Royce and a Ferrari.

A-Rod, who earned $455 million in his MLB career, has come a long way since being given a 1986 Mazda 323 from his brother as his first car.
“It was a funny blue and it was a stick shift and I loved it,” the MLB icon told CNBC.
“It was my prized possession.”
The main problem with the Mazda was that sometimes it wouldn’t come to a complete stop.
“So every time I saw a red light… I had to actually slow down and time it,” Rodriguez says.
Rolls-Royce Phantom
A-Rod was seen out and about in his Rolls-Royce Phantom many times with former girlfriend Jennifer Lopez.

The opulent convertible has a 6.7-liter V12 engine and a top speed of 155 mph.
It retails for around $200,000.
911 Carrera GTS Porsche
In 2019, Rodriguez gifted Lopez with a red 911 Carrera GTS Porsche Cabrio.
“It’s beautiful! I’ve never driven a car like that!” J-Lo said.

The vehicle, which retails for $143,000, even had a “JLo” license plate and matching car mats.
Two years later after the couple split, A-Rod got his car back.
He posed for a picture on Instagram in front of the red Porsche sporting a tan suit and olive green tie.
“I’m super down to Earth,” he said.
Ford Bronco
A-Rod and J-Lo clearly enjoyed giving each other cars as birthday presents.
In 2019, the actress and singer gifted Rodriguez a blue Ford Bronco for his 44th birthday.

Rodriguez then took a video of the couple going out for a ride in the restored car.
The Bronco has heated seats, a Bluetooth stereo, and diamond-stitched upholstery.
Meanwhile, the seat rests have the No. 13 embroidered to pay homage to the number he wore at the Yankees.
Mercedes-Maybach 57S
Rodriguez is unlikely to have fond memories of his Mercedes-Maybach 57S.
In 2013, A-Rod was was swarmed by reporters in the car as he left the Yankees’ training facility in Tampa, Florida, a few days before he was given a lengthy ban for steroid use.

The baseball star owned a Mercedes dealership in Texas during the height of his fame and popularity.
The dealership in Leader City was known as ‘Alex Rodriguez Mercedes-Benz’.
Rodriguez bought the business for $6 million.
It was changed to ‘Mercedes-Benz of Clear Lake’ when he sold the business in 2014.

The most luxurious car in A-Rod’s garage is the Ferrari 599 GTB.
The two-seater is powered by a V12 engine and capable of a top speed of 205mph.
