Arsenal is about to get rid of the 10th player; Kieran Tierney is Arsenal’s biggest problem

Goalkeeper Alex Runarsson is about to join the club in Turkey, Alanyaspor on loan to look for the ability to start.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Arsenal have left Alex Runarsson out of the plans this season and are ready to let him go on loan.

After making a series of purchases, with a transfer fee of more than 110 million pounds, coach Mikel Arteta is trying to rebalance the staff in the team. The priority of the Spanish strategist at this time is to push away the redundant people in the team.

Accordingly, Hector Bellerin will be allowed to leave. His new stop is most likely Real Betis. Meanwhile, reports suggest that Nicolas Pepe is also counting his departure from the Emirates Stadium. And it is not strange if the next few days, goalkeeper Alex Runarsson appears in a new shirt.

Runarsson comes to Arsenal in 2020 from Dijon as a substitute for Bernd Leno. Despite the fact that Arsenal have now sold Leno to Fulham, he still has not had a chance to play when the Gunners brought in two goalkeepers in the past year. Such was the case with Aaron Ramsdale and Matt Turner.

With Turner, the deal was struck in January and was officially announced last month. Meanwhile, Arteta decided to promote young goalkeeper Karl Hein to the first team and so there was no room for Runarsson.

Runarsson is expected to join Alanyaspor on loan. This deal does not include an outright purchase option.

Arsenal bid 40 million for the ‘whirlwind of the border’

Arsenal are showing their determination to conquer after losing the top 4 unfortunately last season. They have had 5 additions so far, including Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos, Matt Turner, Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko. However, coach Mikel Arteta has no intention of stopping .

The Spanish strategist wants to bring in a right winger to have more options to rotate the squad. The campaign before Bukayo Saka did not have a chance to rest, playing all 38 rounds in the Premier League. This season when the Gunners have to fight in the European arena, it is clear that they cannot be too dependent on the Three Lions player.

 Pino is Arsenal’s target.

Yeremy Pino is a name that Arsenal have been following for a long time. The 19-year-old star has just spent a brilliant 2021/22 campaign with 7 goals and 4 assists in 40 games in all competitions for Villarreal. According to Radio Villarreal, the “golden submarine” seriously considers the possibility of selling Pino this summer to have more transfer budget.

The Spaniard has a release clause of up to 80 million euros. But Radio Villarreal said the Gunners submitted an offer of just half that amount, worth €40 million . On the “golden submarine” side, they expect to receive 60 million euros. It is likely that the two sides will continue to negotiate until a common voice is found.

Kieran Tierney is Arsenal’s biggest problem

Kieran Tierney is considered one of the top left-backs, but since arriving at Arsenal he has not proved his best. The star born in 1997 was often injured and could not contribute regularly to the London team.

In the summer of this year, the former Celtic player was also injured and missed many friendly matches of the Gunners. In Arsenal’s opening match of the new season against Crystal Palace, Kieran Tierney was also only launched by coach Mikel Arteta in the final minutes of the game.

Tierney has entered his fourth season with Arsenal and has made just 64 Premier League appearances out of a maximum of 114 in his first three seasons. Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher feels worried for Arsenal when Kieran Tierney cannot play regularly. He said:

“Arsenal have many good players, but among them are those who are often absent because of injuries. Tierney is the most prominent name. During his time at Arsenal, he never played for several months in a row.

“Tierney’s injury is becoming a problem for him and the team, that’s why Oleksandr Zinchenko was brought in. I think the new signing from Man City will solve a lot of problems for Arsenal.”

After the victory against Crystal Palace, Arsenal will return home to Leicester in the second round. Being more appreciated, their goal is definitely 3 points.
