Arsenal are still awaiting the debut of new signing Fabio Vieira as he works his way back to full fitness while his fellow arrivals have been making their mark on the rest of the squad.
Arsenal have kicked off their season in perfect fashion following successive victories in the Premier League.
With two wins from two under their belts and new signings playing a huge part in their success, it’s fair to say things are looking rosey for Mikel Arteta’s men as they bid to challenge for a top four spot.
And their position could become even stronger in the months to come, with £34m midfielder Fabio Vieira still yet to make his debut. Fierce competition for places is rife at the Emirates, though, as recent footage from the Amazon All Or Nothing documentary proves.
Gunners get glimpse of Vieira
His start to life in North London certainly hasn’t gone as Fabio Vieira will have hoped – but we could finally be seeing the Gunners’ new signing in a matter of weeks.
Vieira has been recovering from an injury over the past few weeks which has kept him out of pre-season as he is only now returning to action. The 22-year-old was given a run out for Arsenal’s youth side in the Premier League Cup match against Swansea City youngsters on Wednesday however.
Zinchenko stuns teammates
Oleksandr Zinchenko is quickly becoming a fan favourite already at Arsenal following his summer switch from Manchester City.
The Ukrainian has been instrumental in both of the Gunners’ opening victories – and he’s clearly making an impression on his peers in training too. Zinchenko was involved in an Arsenal training exercise where boss Mikel Arteta asked the players to juggle the ball from one end of the pitch to the other in a race without dropping it.
The majority of players did so at a mild pace, but Zinchenko raced clear whilst keeping the ball under control, which bought about a huge cheer from his new teammates and the coaches.
Nketiah’s X-rated blast
Eddie Nketiah took umbrage with Albert Sambi Lokonga’s attitude.
Amazon’s All Or Nothing documentary has given a fascinating insight into life behind the scenes at Arsenal. From Arteta’s inspiring speeches to training feuds between players, it’s been a real eye-opening account of the Gunners’ dressing room.
Now latest footage has shown Eddie Nketiah getting frustrated with teammate Albert Sambi Lokonga whilst eating lunch together. The conversation soon turned sour when Lokonga initially refused to explain why his mood had dipped in recent weeks.
He eventually replied: “I was playing! [at the start of the season.” That immediately irked Nketiah, who fired back: “So what my friend? You think you’re the only man not f***ing playing my friend? Stop feeling sorry for yourself.”
