At the Nike EYBL Peach Jam, LeBron James plans plays for his son’s team

On Wednesday, LeBron James attended the Nike EYBL Peach Jam in Augusta, South Carolina, where he was the team coach for his son Bryce James.

It was none other than LeBron himself holding the clipboard and giving commands to his players as NBA scouts watched to get a better look at James’ younger son.

Former NBA champion Rajon Rondo, who paired up with James to form an exceptional coaching duo, also coached the brilliant AAU squad Strive for Greatness.

James could be seen welcoming a few individuals along the bench as he entered the court while sporting a black polo shirt. He started to make his way over to Bryce’s team and started talking to the players while they warmed up.

Later, as the game was about to start, James was planning plays on the clipboard and motivating his team. Bryce, 16, made his Peach Jam debut on Monday and helped his team win by scoring 12 points on 4-of-9 field goal shooting.

According to reports, representatives from a number of teams, including the Lakers, Magic, Cavaliers, Mavericks, Heat, Knicks, Suns, and Hawks, were present and “made James a priority” on the opening day of play.

LeBron James’ Son Recruited by Magic; Lakers Star Being Wooed to Orlando?

Over the past 20 years, the Orlando Magic have battled LeBron James numerous times; nevertheless, the organization is currently attempting to sign his kid.

The Magic is one of the clubs who reportedly scouted Bryce James on the opening day of the NIKE EYBL’s Peach Jam competition, according to Yahoo! Sports.

“The youngest son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James made his Peach Jam debut Monday afternoon and finished with 12 points (2-for-6 from 3, 4-for-9 from the field) in the Strive For Greatness (California) win over Expressions in the 16-under division, 78-69,” wrote Krysten Peek.

James was a top priority for scouts from the Lakers, Magic, Cavaliers, Mavericks, Heat, Knicks, Suns, Hawks, and other teams on the first day of games.

The youngest James son will graduate from high school in two years and will have three years before becoming eligible for the draft. He just turned 16 years old.

Bronny James, the younger brother of LeBron James, is gearing up for his freshman year with the USC Trojans and might be selected in the top five of the 2024 NBA Draft.

The Magic’s interest in Bryce may be an indication of their likely intention to select Bronny in the draft. LeBron, who has a player option with the Los Angeles Lakers after the season, has previously shown interest in playing with his son should they both be in the league at the same time.

In a January interview with ESPN, James said, “I need to be on the floor with my boy, I got to be on the floor with Bronny.” “In a matchup against him, or in the same uniform… However, I would want to participate in the full Ken Griffey Sr. and Jr. affair. Definitely, that would be fantastic.

Maybe one day the entire James family will don a Magic uniform as a result of this.
