Journalists Say Liverpool Is Ready to Attack PSG’s Desired Summer Target
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia piqued the interest of Paris Saint-Germain this past summer, but a deal fell through.
Napoli refused to give up Kvaratskhelia and held their ground. He made 45 appearances in the 2023–24 season, with nine assists and 11 goals, helping Napoli win the 2023 Serie A championship.
Kvaratskhelia is still without a new contract despite his influence. Although Napoli is keen to extend his current contract, which expires in 2027, talks have halted due to a wage discrepancy. Napoli is offering €6 million plus bonuses, while his representatives are requesting €8 million each season.
Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Kvaratskhelia also wants a €80 million release provision in the contract, but Napoli is allegedly apprehensive about it. The Georgian international is currently valued by the club at about €100 million for a possible transfer.
