Tyler Rogers (4-5), who got the loss for San Francisco, hit the home run.

Atlanta reliever Kirby Yates (7-0) earned the win with a two-strikeout performance in the eighth inning.

Yates and Raisel Iglesias, who won his 24th save, were the only two Braves pitchers not to allow at least one hit. The 11 hits allowed by Braves pitchers contributed to the loss of a three-game shutout streak entering Saturday’s game.

Atlanta’s string of 27 innings without allowing a run came to an end early. LaMont Wade Jr., San Francisco’s leadoff batter, blasted a game-opening home run against Braves starter Yonny Chirinos.

J.D. Davis’ leadoff double drove in another run in the second, and he advanced to third on Blake Sabol’s single. On a fielder’s choice, Johan Camargo drove in Davis, but Atlanta escaped further damage when Chirinos forced Thairo Estrada into an inning-ending double play.

The Braves tied it up in their half of the second inning when Matt Olson and Marcell Ozuna singles, followed by Rosario’s double. Olson was driven in by Rosario’s hit, and Ozuna scored on Orlando Arcia’s groundout.

Atlanta needed another rally after falling behind by two runs in the fourth inning thanks to San Francisco’s two-run fourth. In the fourth inning, Travis d’Arnaud doubled home Rosario, and Ronald Acuna Jr. homered for his 28th of the season in the fifth.

The Giants retook the lead in the sixth inning, but they blew a chance to score more than one run after loaded the bases with no outs.

Davis, Sabol, Wade, and Michael Conforto all had two hits in the loss for San Francisco. For Atlanta, Ozuna went 3-for-4.
