Bruno Fernandes to play centre-back in Man United’s loss over Brighton

When Ten Hag asked Bruno Fernandes to play center defense in Man United’s defeat to Brighton, spectators couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

Before Bruno Fernandes switched to the right center-back position against Brighton, Manchester United’s fans could not believe what they were seeing.

Bruno Fernandes ended up playing at centre-back

In addition to losing by three goals at home, Bruno Fernandes was given the opportunity to play center back against Brighton, which caused more embarrassment for Manchester United supporters.

Rasmus Hojlund was replaced by Erik ten Hag as United trailed the Seagulls and the crowd had already started to boo ten Hag.

And when sharp-eyed football fans noticed the Dutchman had used Fernandes, who had been their creative output, as a central defense, their dissatisfaction spread online.

One supporter railed, “Bruno Fernandes, our most inventive player playing as right center back…state of this club right now.”

“He lost me when he substituted Hojlund out and played Bruno at center-back,” said a second.

In the center back position, Bruno Fernandes was. One more said, “I’m exhausted.

“Rangnick made some crazy decisions, but have any been as bad as Maguire up top and Bruno center back,” another person added.

Man Utd fans couldn’t believe Bruno Fernandes was playing so deep

Before the Red Devils could lay a glove on the Seagulls, Brighton had United off the field and was comfortably ahead by three goals.

Young Hannibal Mejbri scored a fantastic goal for United, but Brighton had trouble adding a fourth. On Transfer Deadline Day, Ansu Fati, a player from Barcelona, landed on the South Coast and nearly brought them victory.

After dropping two of their first five Premier League contests, United is currently near the bottom of the standings.
