Celebrating the special women of the Dodgers organization on Women’s Night!

On Friday, the Los Angeles Dodgers held Women’s Night at Dodger Stadium, and Kirsten Watson was one of the players to throw out the first pitch.

Dave Roberts, the manager of the Dodgers, was given the pitch by Watson, who had been getting ready for the occasion.

The Dodgers’ walk-up music was once again selected by player girlfriends and wives on Women’s Night.

On Friday, Tony Gonsolin warmed up to “Girl on Fire” by Alicia Keys instead of his usual warm-up song, “Cat Daddy” by The Rej3ctz.

The song that Chelsea Freeman selected for Freddie Freeman was “Hips Don’t Lie” by Shakira. The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond Gala’s dancing by the All-Star first baseman, Chris Freeman, went viral. The team now uses Freeman’s dances as a celebration following an extra-base hit.

Max Muncy’s song of choice was “…Ready For It?” by Taylor Swift, while Nicole Barnes also went with the popular singer for Austin Barnes’ song of choice, “Cruel Summer.” However, the game had already gotten out of hand by the time Barnes heard his walk-up music when he came off the bench.

Like last year, Mookie Betts was the first position player on the Dodgers to hear a brand-new song. In a loss that ended the Dodgers’ best winning streak of the season at 11 games, he blasted a leadoff home run, but that was one of the game’s few bright spots for the team.

Also hitting solo home runs were Muncy and James Outman (“Milkshake” by Kelis).

Dodgers choose their top Taylor Swift tunes

The Dodgers players were asked to choose their favorite Taylor Swift song earlier this season during a segment that was timed to her run of shows at SoFi Stadium.

Betts, Freeman, and Clayton Kershaw all named Taylor Swift’s “22” as their favorite song.

Freeman added ironically that he wanted to turn back time to when he was 22. Before attempting to perform the chorus, David Peralta played his daughter’s choice of “Shake It Off” as a follow-up.
