Chelsea FC will meet with former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's representatives today and is very close to sign him
According to the British press, Chelsea representatives will meet with striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s agent today (August 19) to discuss completing the Gabon striker’s transfer from Barcelona as soon as possible.
The Blues are currently considering Aubameyang as a possible replacement for Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku when they leave Stamford Bridge in 2022/23.
Not only has MU taken notice of Aubameyang, but so has Chelsea. Coach Ten Hag is desperate for new contracts after the Red Devils’ disastrous start to the season. And the Dutch strategist has identified Aubameyang as a key target for the attack.
But the Gabonese international appears to have turned down Man United, and if he must leave Barcelona, he wants to join Chelsea. Wearing the Stamford Bridge home team shirt also allows Aubameyang to compete in major tournaments such as the UEFA Champions League.
Aubameyang has 11 goals in 13 appearances since joining the Catalan giants in January, but he has now lost his place after the host club signed Robert Lewandowski and More rookies for £42.5 million from Bayern Munich. Barcelona is also willing to sell this striker in order to reinvest more money in the team.
Chelsea’s “super bomb” has been calmed.
Wesley Fofana, a Chelsea target, is likely to face a deterrent move from the host club.
Wesley Fofana, 21, of Leicester City, is a priority target for Thomas Tuchel, who is looking to bolster a shaky defense at Stamford Bridge.
Fofana became concerned about her future. According to multiple sources, the French midfielder considered Chelsea and frequently put pressure on the host club. As a result of that decision, the star born in 2001 may be defeated by coach Brendan Rodgers.
Rodgers is prepared to bench Fofana this weekend if he believes the student is distracted by the Chelsea deal. When asked if he could get rid of Fofana if he had reservations about the player’s current mental state, Rodgers responded:
“Yes, 100%. It will not help us if the players are not fully focused and committed to the club, or if they are not in the right mindset for whatever reason. To play at their best, we must ensure that everyone is completely focused. Is he in a good enough state to begin? That is something I will always evaluate after training sessions.”
“We will sit down to analyze and study the opponent to ensure that everything is in order.” Then we’ll pick the best team to win.”
