Chelsea intends to offload striker Timo Werner during the summer transfer window of 2022, Arsenal and Real Madrid have both expressed an interest in the German player
Chelsea are ready to let Werner go before the transfer window closes, having failed to impress in his two years at Stamford Bridge. In 89 appearances for the Blues, he has only scored 23 goals and provided 21 assists.
Arsenal, according to Defensa Central, has entered the race for the German striker. Despite signing Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City, the Gunners still need one more striker to compete in a variety of leagues next season.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has used Werner on the left flank, and Mikel Arteta could do the same if he joins the Emirates Stadium squad.
Chelsea is currently paying the German international £ 270,000 per week. According to reports, Werner is willing to take a pay cut in order to play more frequently.
Previously, it was reported that both Juventus and Real Madrid were interested in Werner. According to transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano, the Old Lady is in talks with Chelsea about borrowing the German player.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid wants to loan Werner out for a season as a back-up for main striker Karim Benzema. The white vultures are short on strikers after Borja Mayoral and Mariano Diaz both expressed doubts about staying, and Luka Jovic joined Fiorentina.
In addition, Newcastle and Werner’s former club RB Leipzig are both interested in signing him in the summer of 2022. Both are impressed by the German striker’s abilities.
Chelsea has ‘attached’ players plus £ 45 million for Wesley Fofana.
Fofana is an important target for Chelsea right now, after they made a number of big signings over the summer. The foxes are said to be unwilling to sell their star player, but the Blues can make a proposal to change things. As a result, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a name that can be useful in this transaction.
Chelsea has been discussing the possibility of using Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the signing of Wesley Fofana since last week. Chelsea is hoping that the £40-45 million offer for Loftus-Cheek will make Leicester reconsider their decision not to sell players. Loftus-Cheek is said to be appealing to the foxes.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek, an academy graduate, has struggled to establish himself as a regular Chelsea starter, often being used as a substitute off the bench or as a versatile substitute.
His ability in midfield could be useful for Leicester, who have lost several midfielders recently. Similarly, the 26-year-old has also seen action at right-back.
Chelsea is also rumored to be interested in Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong, for whom they will compete with Manchester United.
