According to The Wall Street Journal, Mr. Wade paid a total of $10,645,000 to acquire the property in 2010 and then made improvements to it. On North Bay Road, a roadway frequented by business leaders and celebrities, lies a property that is roughly 12,000 square feet in size and has a wine room, game room, swimming pool, home theater, and outdoor basketball court. Additionally, the property is located on North Bay Road.
In 2019, Mr. Wade played his final game for the Miami Heat, the team he spent the majority of his career with. Mr. Wade listed the property just a few months after playing his farewell game for the Miami Heat. Recently, he and the actress Gabrielle Union, whom he is married to, purchased a property in the Los Angeles area. Since that time, the price has been dropped more than once, and the most current price that was being asked for it was $26.5 million.
During the course of this transaction, Brett Harris of Douglas Elliman served as representation for both the buyer and the seller. He confirmed that the transaction was successfully completed but declined to provide any more remark.
The marriage between Mr. Wade and Ms. Union took place in 2014, and the couple now has a daughter named Kaavia. According to documents found in public archives, the couple has since purchased a mansion in the Hidden Hills region of Los Angeles for the price of $17.9 million. When asked for their opinion, a spokesperson for the couple did not get back to the reporter in a timely manner.
Mr. Wade is also a minority owner of the Utah Jazz after purchasing a stake in the franchise this year.
