Atletico Madrid and Manchester United are nearing an agreement to sell Julian Alvarez to Madrid for £70 million.
This change will allow Chelsea to purchase Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion for around £35 million, which is different from the £33.7 million sale of Conor Gallagher.
After agreeing the move on Monday morning, Gallagher is set to sign a five-year contract with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.While teenage defender Alfie Gilchrist is going on loan to Sheffield United, Chelsea is also looking to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

Omorodion scored for Spain in their group stage match against Egypt, and he is currently competing in the Olympics.Among the other clubs interested in the forward are AC Milan, Roma, Napoli, Nottingham Forest, and West Ham.
In August of 2023, Omorodion signed a five-year contract to join Atletico.

Aside from a claimed increase of €130 million (£113 million), Osimhen reportedly received a substantial salary boost as a result of the deal.
