Right-hander Joe Kelly was placed on the 15-day disabled list by the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday due to right forearm discomfort.
There was no corresponding trade reported, leaving the Dodgers with one fewer pitcher in the bullpen for Sunday’s 8-3 win over the Colorado Rockies.
Kelly was 1-0 with no runs allowed in four outings since joining the Dodgers in a deal with the Chicago White Sox. In 35 relief appearances this season, he is 2-5 with a 4.41 ERA.
Kelly is 53-37 with a 3.96 ERA in 443 appearances (81 starts) in 12 seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, White Sox, and two stints with the Dodgers.
