Draymond Green acknowledges he already despises Victor Wembanyama for self-serving reasons

Victor Wembanyama, the first overall pick in the NBA Draft, is dominating the league and has already caught the interest of Draymond Green, one of the league’s seasoned veterans.

The outspoken forward for the Golden State Warriors said that he detested the whole class of 2023 NBA rookies, but he specifically targeted Wemby because he is preventing Green from receiving an accolade that he wishes to maintain for himself.

“I feel a way about the Thompson twins and Wemby,” he said, “because those guys are making it much harder for me to continue making all-defensive teams.”The 12-year veteran expressed his pride and happiness at seeing young players entering the NBA with an emphasis on defense rather than just scoring points. Green also praised the play of Marcus Sasser, a rookie for the Pistons, and Trayce Jakson-Davis, a rookie for the Warriors, in addition to Wembanyama, Ausar Thompson, and Amen Thompson.
