When Coach Ten Hag stated that what Ronaldo did was "unacceptable," he did not hold back his feelings and this could pave the way for CR7 to be transferred
Even though it was only a friendly match, the 1-1 draw between Manchester United and Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford on July 31 left a strong impression. After the first half, coach Erik Ten Hag decided to replace Cristiano Ronaldo with Amad Diallo, a young talent.
The decision of the Dutch military leader appears to have enraged CR7. He left Old Trafford before the game had even ended. Although, according to the British press, MU permitted the Portuguese superstar to do so, coach Ten Hag refused.
When asked if the players were allowed to leave before the match ended, Ten Hag stated unequivocally, “I told the players that it is unacceptable.”
“MU is a team, and everyone has to look in the same direction,” the former Ajax captain added. The players must remain until the very last second of the game. It’s about teamwork and mutual respect, which are essential in any team.”
So far, there is a lot to say about the first match, with coach Ten Hag and superstar Ronaldo working together. When coach Ten Hag gave tactical instructions at Old Trafford that day, the owner of five Golden Ball titles was said to be unhappy.
As the Dutch coach spoke, reporters were able to capture images of the 37-year-old striker shrugging and shaking his head. That is most likely one of the reasons CR7 left before the game ended.
MU fans were concerned after hearing coach Ten Hag’s comments. The “Red Devils” may accept Ronaldo’s departure at a time when the player himself wants to leave Old Trafford. Ronaldo’s ambition is to play for a club that competes in the Champions League.
Remember that on August 26, Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes went to Carrington and declared their intention to leave. Coach Ten Hag was still trying to keep CR7 at the time. But, after some unprofessional behavior from this player, no one knows whether the “Red Devils” still believe Ronaldo is not for sale or not!
According to The Guardian, Ten Hag was also upset when Ronaldo arbitrarily announced his return to play against Vallecano on social media. According to Mirror, CR7 did not hesitate to activate Ten Hag once more. When Ten Hag publicly criticized him in front of the media, he became enraged.
These developments indicate that Ten Hag and Ronaldo’s relationship is gradually deteriorating. This is not good for Manchester United as the season approaches. The undercurrent has emerged, and Ronaldo is clearly considering leaving Old Trafford.
Ten Hag appears to be ready to remove Ronaldo as well. According to SunSport, Ten Hag will drop CR7 to the bench for the first match against Brighton because he is out of shape. And the Dutch coach demonstrated that “no player is allowed to be bigger than the team” by publicly criticizing Ronaldo.
Ronaldo received a stern warning from Ten Hag. Previously, he was one of the players who was vehemently opposed to Ten Hag’s appointment. Perhaps Ronaldo’s departure is not far away.
