Days after the incident, they decided not to halt the premiere of his signature shoe, and they watched as the shoes sold out in a matter of minutes. Since then, Nike has made a couple further models that have enjoyed comparable popularity. For Halloween 2023, they’re offering Ja Morant his own colorway of sneakers that are inspired by zσmbies as part of their “Midnight Series.”
A slime-green top of the sneakers may or may not illuminate at night. The exterior of the forest green swoosh has zσmbie hands and a jagged appearance. The back heel is showing those same undead hands emerging from it. On the heel is inscribed “12” in blσσd red, while Ja Morant’s signature is etched in black on the back. The olive green tongue and brown midsole of the sneakers add to the zσmbie concept. Although Nike hasn’t given a specific date for release, the theme strongly suggests that these will go on sale in the fall of 2023, probably around the holiday.
