Gary Neville’s Hilarious ‘Final Score’ Joke Following Bournemouth’s Upset Victory Over Liverpool

Having destroyed Manchester United 7-0 the previous weekend, Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool came to the Vitality Stadium hoping to keep their winning ways going.

However, they put on a poor display, as a shocking 1-0 victory thanks to a goal from Phillip Billing in the first half. In the second half, Liverpool had a penalty kick opportunity to tie the score, but to everyone’s amazement, Mo Salah missed the goal.

Following the final whistle, Neville used the opportunity to pounce on the BBC’s decision to cancel the Final Score program in response to the Gary Lineker controversy and cracked a funny joke targeted at Liverpool. The video is available to view below.

“With no Final Score today, here is the early result,” Neville stated in the video. Liverpool lose at Bournemouth 1-0.

Fans responded to Neville’s antics right away.

“HAHAHA well done Gary,” one person exclaimed.I’m glad they were back for a total of 5 days, another person wrote.

“Coke Zero for Carragher today,” a third supporter chimed in.

They believed they were returning following a fluke result, someone else stated.

Gary, are you forgetting the 7-0 from last week, asked a fifth.

Following the painfully discouraging setback, Klopp remarked, “What can I say? We never truly played that game. Although we had the upper hand in the first half, we frequently threw the ball into an aggressive defense.

They planned to launch their own counterattacks. I really think the spaces we had to play were super clear, super open.”

Up next for the Reds will be the almost impossible task of overturning a 5-2 deficit against Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Can Liverpool secure a top-four finish? Time will only tell.
