Mane met with Macky Sall, the president of Senegal, to talk about his idea after returning to the country for two rounds of international matches against Zambia and Cape Verde earlier this month.
Mane requested medical staff to help build the hospital, and he contributed almost £450,000 to its construction.
“President Macky Sall received Senegalese international Sadio Mane this Thursday,” the nation’s presidency said in a statement.
The Head of State met with the Liverpool social worker to discuss his social initiatives, which included building a hospital in Bambali.
He has asked the State for help in providing medical personnel.
“The exchange menu also included Senegal’s new stadium and the national team’s preparation from the previous two friendly matches.”The 29-year-old has now witnessed the hospital’s construction and opening, with photos showing a sign honoring Mane’s labor, just weeks after the meeting at the Presidential Palace.
Additionally, according to the Spanish newspaper AS, the hospital will be the first medical facility in the area and will service 34 villages in the Bambali area. It will offer maternity care, dental facilities, consulting rooms, and an A&E department.
“This hospital is for you, the people of Sédhiou, and it is thanks to you,” Mane stated in a statement sent to AS.Mane, a Liverpool supporter favorite, has already contributed to the financing of development projects in Bambali.
In the past, Mane has been instrumental in the construction of a store bearing his name and a secondary school.
During the off-season, Mane frequently returns to Senegal, and this summer is no exception.
Additionally, AS asserted that Mane and his associates are eager to finance additional developments in the future, such as a post office and a gas station, in the Bambali neighborhood.
