Alongside Szoboszlai, Konate returned to his old haunt in Liverpool’s close 1-0 victory over RB Leipzig. However, the defender was noticeably excluded from any official honor, whereas the Hungarian received a heartfelt tribute from his former employers.
Before joining Liverpool, Szoboszlai played for the Bundesliga team for three seasons. In recognition of his tenure with the team, the club honored him with a symbolic Red Bull statue as a commemorative keepsake and expressed gratitude for his work.
In the meantime, throughout his four seasons at RB Leipzig from 2017 to 2021, Konate was instrumental.
