In Bel-Air, Magic Johnson relishes his 10,000 sq ft mansion

A Los Angeles Lakers player used to live in a six-bedroom Moraga Estates mansion that is currently marketed for $14.5 million. The seller, Compass dealer Nancy Ellin, is also offering the gated community, which is 10,000 square feet, for sale. The house includes an indoor basketball court, six bedrooms, and a locker room with walls full of autographs from former NBA players.

Ellin bought the house in 2004 and made several high-end renovations. Ellin tells Mansion Global that after a thorough renovation, the house now includes marble, custom cabinets, top-notch appliances, and Moroccan/Spanish design elements that were inspired by our travels. It’s a truly unique place to live and a great place to celebrate. Excellent grounds with a large brick patio, built-in BBQ, pool, and fire pit.

The three-story home’s entrance features a drαmαtíc lobby with a grand staircase and custom wide wood plank flooring all around. From the first floor, there’s a stunning formal dining room with bespoke built-ins and a silver leaf soffit ceiling.

The family room, which has a wood-burning fireplace and a Moroccan-style seating rotunda, is just a short distance from the roomy living space. Adjacent is a distinctive chef’s kitchen including marble worktops, a sitting island, and a butler’s pantry. A large breakfast area has French doors on three sides that open to the garden, providing ample natural light.

The large main chamber is located on the second story. It has a sitting space, a fireplace, and a balcony. The master bathroom is sleek and fashionable in all white. It has a steam shower and a Jacuzzi tub. A large, fully furnished gym, three kid-sized bunk beds, a guest bedroom, and a bathroom are all located on the third floor. As you would have guessed, Johnson has an indoor basketball court that was custom-built. If you would just prefer to watch, you can glance through a window in the playing area to see how your friends act.
