According to reports, Bayern Munich has set a £34 million asking price for Leon Goretzka, a target for Manchester United.
The Bundesliga winners are willing to transfer Goretzka if they are presented with an acceptable offer this summer, according to Sky Sport Germany.
According to reports, the German juggernauts want to get between £34 million and £42 million for the midfielder.
Thomas Tuchel, the manager of Bayern Munich, started a summer-long club renovation when the Red Devils expressed interest. Joshua Kimmich and Konrad Laimer are anticipated to start the season as the center of Tuchel’s midfield, with the latter’s addition casting additional doubt on Goretzka’s future.
Tuchel admitted he could not guarantee Goretzka a spot in the midfield due to the addition of Ryan Gravenberch and the returning Marcel Sabitzer.
It’s just the start of the planning, but I haven’t heard that from Leon.
There is fierce rivalry.
Goretzka played for Bayern Munich in 40 games last season in all competitions, but his game time was curtailed in the last months of the campaign. The German international might be a replacement for Fred and Scott McTominay at Man United, as both midfielders have been linked with exits from Old Trafford.
Bayern Munich may need the money from a sale to continue their chase of Harry Kane of Tottenham.
Uli Hoeness, the honorary president of Bayern, asserted that Kane has made it clear he wants to complete a transfer in their conversations.
Daniel Levy, the chairman of Tottenham, is apparently holding out for the full £120 million asking price for the England captain.
