PSG Was Ready to Pay Up to €30M to Atalanta to Acquire Arsenal and Liverpool as Summer Targets

Ademola Lookman, a forward for Atalanta, was linked to Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the summer transfer season. Additional details about this file came to light, including the forward’s asking price from the capital club.

Lookman was linked to other teams during the last days of the transfer window, not just PSG. Liverpool and Arsenal are said to have shown interest in the 26-year-old as well.

Lookman was linked to more than just PSG in the dying days of the transfer season; Arsenal and Liverpool were both reportedly interested in the 26-year-old. He joined Atalanta in 2022 and has had a significant influence since then.

He participated in 45 games the previous season, showcasing his skill by tallying 10 assists and scoring 17 goals. His incredible hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Europa League final was a season high point for him.

According to a recent TuttoMercatoWeb article, Lookman was valued at approximately €55 million by the Serie A team. However, when the Ligue 1 team offered a significantly smaller amount, the Parisians refused to accede to this demand.

What much was PSG prepared to offer for Ademola Lookman?Far from the €50 million that Atalanta was anticipating, TuttoAtalanta (h/t Foot01) says that PSG offered between €25 and €30 million, including bonuses.

The club decided to turn down the bids since they didn’t think they needed to sell Lookman because his contract was set to expire in 2026. Even though Lookman just has one year left on his contract, they are looking for bigger offers come summertime.
