In his first game back with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Kike Hernandez made headlines by breaking out his signature dancing routine in the dugout. Before he had even taken his first at-bat, his teammates had risen to their feet in applause.
A day after being traded from the Boston Red Sox, Hernández went 2-for-4 against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Kike Hernandez has a special connection to the Los Angeles Dodgers. After six years at the club, he will become a free agent at the end of the 2020 campaign. Together with Justin Turner, the Dodgers’ third baseman, he was instrumental in the team’s 2020 World Series victory.
Hernandez had a breakout year in 2021, but he’s struggled ever since. In his last 725 at-bats, he has a batting average of.12 homers, 76 RBIs, and a.222/.286/.330 batting line (67 OPS+) with just 3 steals.
Both on the field and at the plate, Hernandez had a rough season for the Boston Red Sox. In 86 games, he only managed a.222 average and led Major League Baseball with 15 miscues.
