Legend Kobe Bryant with his Orange County real estate for $8.6M

According to a story in the Los Angeles Times, Kobe Bryant has put his property in Newport Coast, California on the market for $8.6 million.

The 20,000 square foot home features an indoor gym, a shark tank, and an outside entertainment space complete with a swimming pool and a jacuzzi. Jordan Cohen of ReMax has taken the listing for this property.

It is well knowledge that Kobe travels from Orange County to the middle of Los Angeles in a helicopter. If he moves closer to where he works, he might no longer have to deal with those days.

For 1st time since Kobe Bryant retired, NBA to feature 2 players named for him

Kobe is there, sporting a Los Angeles team’s jersey. The buses are waiting for Kobe, who was the final player to take the court during practice.

How appropriate. just like before.

Kobe Bryant is unique and there will never be another one.

There will never be another Bryant, and Kobe Brown and Kobe Bufkin will be the first two players at NBA Summer League to say as much. They would never put on a false front.

But fans will soon be able to witness players called Kobe again for the NBA for the first time since the Hall of Famer retired in 2016.

Brown is competing for the Los Angeles Clippers in the Summer League. In his first season with the Atlanta Hawks, Bufkin. Both bear the name of Bryant, who is currently the only Kobe to play in the NBA. It appears that will alter in a few months.

The Los Angeles Clippers selected Kobe Brown (30th overall) and Kobe Bufkin (15th overall) in the 2023 NBA Draft, respectively. AP images “It means a lot,” Brown remarked. “I feel like there’s a bullseye on my back, for sure. Many males immediately conjure up Kobe Bryant when they hear the name Kobe. I’m certainly not him, to put it mildly. But like he did, I strive to maintain my competitive edge and play as hard as I can.

It’s impossible to estimate the precise number of Kobes in the world. It continues to be quite odd.

Kobe-inspired baby names The Social Security Administration reports that during the six-year period from 1998 to 2003, which coincided with Kobe Bryant’s first three championship seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, the trend of giving babies that name peaked. The most applications for Social Security cards with that name were made for 1,552 baby boys in 2001.

the year, 1,500 additional boys received the name, many undoubtedly as a tribute to Bryant’s life and career. According to government statistics, Liam was the most frequently used name that year for newborn boys, appearing nearly 20,000 times. (There were various variants, including Kobee and Kobey, and in 2020, a small number of American newborn girls were also given the name.)

Mamba as source 2003-born Bufkin noted, “It’s never really bothered me too much when it comes to playing ball.” “When I’m on the court, I try not to worry about it as much. You must, however, make an effort to match the work ethic that comes with carrying the name. And matching it is quite difficult. I will be okay if I make it halfway.

An illustration would be the Hawks’ 45-minute Summer League session this week, which was followed by some shooting. After around an hour and fifteen minutes, the majority of the participants left the field. A few minutes later, nearly everyone had taken off their shoes and was getting ready to board the bus, but Bufkin was still practicing drives from half-court against a defender.

Just trying to execute the plan, added Bufkin.

Three and a half years after his passing, the legendary Los Angeles Lakers player still enjoys enormous popularity.

Fans of the Lakers still frequently wear Bryant jerseys. Bryant is the cover athlete for two NBA 2K24 editions, “NBA 2K24: Kobe Bryant Edition” and “NBA 2K24: Black Mamba Edition,” with the tie-in being the 24 that was one of Bryant’s two NBA jersey numbers. Nike hopes to re-launch the Kobe brand this summer. Another form of homage will be paid to Bryant during the Basketball World Cup when Anthony Edwards of Minnesota will assume No. 10, the jersey number he wore when competing for USA Basketball.

It just goes to demonstrate how much he inspired future generations, said Bufkin. “It’s that our parents were willing to name us after him,” said the person who belonged to the first generation to follow him.

Brown has never gone to Crypto.com Arena, the structure that houses both the Clippers and the Lakers. It is the venue, then known as the Staples Center, where Bryant spent half of his games throughout his 20 seasons with the Lakers, scored a career-high 81 points against Toronto in 2006, participated in five championship runs, and spent 18 All-Star seasons.

It’s undoubtedly a blessing, according to Brown. I’m eager to enter the structure, see it, and perform there after all the years he spent playing there and contributing significantly to Los Angeles.

Bufkin and Brown are destined to be in the NBA when the new season begins this fall given that they were both selected in the first round. The Hawks selected Bufkin with the No. 15 overall pick in the draft out of Michigan; he also has a brother named Isaiah Thomas who plays in the NBA.

The Clippers selected Brown out of Missouri with the 30th overall pick.

Not like Kobe Bryant, they. However, they do signify a fresh approach to Kobe Bryant’s legendary continuation.

The Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka, who was Bryant’s agent, described it as an honor. “It’s an honor, just that so many people have been impacted, like all of us, by Kobe, that people are honoring their children and choosing that name,” he added. And given how unique it is, “we’ll probably see more and more of that.”
