After a long period of unemployment, Isco will join Sevilla on a two-year contract.
Real Madrid bid farewell to a number of players in the summer of 2022. After the contract expired, the gods of the team during its heyday (2014–2022) also left the Bernabeu stadium. Isco and Marcelo would still be unemployed if Gareth Bale’s contract with LAFC of the MLS weren’t due to expire.
The Spanish midfielder, however, was luckier than his senior when he was able to get a position just a few days before the start of the new La Liga season. Isco will soon wear a Sevilla jersey, specifically. He will be working with Real Madrid’s former interim manager, Lopetegui, here.
On the afternoon of August 7, Sevilla’s homepage announced that this team had reached a personal agreement with Isco. The midfielder born in 1992 will stick with the home team Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan with a two-year contract. Isco will have a medical examination on Monday 8/8 before the two sides officially announce the contract.
It is known that coach Lopetegui has longed to own Isco for a long time. However, he has to wait until the contract between Isco and Real Madrid ends at the end of the 2021/2022 season to be able to recruit this player. In La Liga last season, Sevilla ranked 4th and Isco will continue to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Isco was raised at Valencia’s academy and caught the attention of top teams in the 2010–2011 campaign following a string of strong performances. Isco then relocated to Malaga, where he continued to make his imprint until being snatched up by Real Madrid. Isco has triumphed in every club championship while wearing the Los Blancos jersey.
Isco is the third summertime rookie for Sevilla. This squad previously brought in Alex Telles from MU and Marco from Galatasaray. However, when Jules Kounde and Diego Carlos leave during this transfer season, coach Lopetegui will be left with a dilemma.
