Embarking on his Mediterranean odyssey from Antibes, France, NBA great Magic Johnson traversed a string of picturesque Italian locales, including stops at the Corinth Canal, Mykonos, Oia, Kefalonia, Kalami, and Santorini. Venturing further, he explored Montenegro and Dubrovnik, Croatia, before winding his way through Positano, Nerano, Sicily, and Capriccioli in Italy.
Throughout his journey, Johnson indulged in the epitome of luxury. From dining at renowned establishments such as Taormina’s San Domenico Palace and Sicily’s Four Seasons—both immortalized in The White Lotus—to his lavish accommodations on the Phoenix 2 superyacht, priced at a staggering €1,150,000 (approximately $1,255,000) per week, Johnson spared no expense. Estimated to have spent around $7,530,000 on the six-week voyage, his adventure epitomized opulence at every turn.
During their extravagant voyage, Johnson and his guests indulged in unforgettable evenings filled with entertainment. One night, they surprised the basketball legend with a masquerade party, followed by a “Greek god and goddess extravaganza” in Greece. Johnson took to Instagram to share their joy, praising Chef Daisy for an exceptional spread.
Among Johnson’s esteemed companions were Judge Greg Mathis, Michael Jordan, and Samuel L. Jackson, with whom they shared memorable meals at renowned restaurants like the lemon tree restaurant in Capri, Italy.
A carousel of images captured their camaraderie, including group portraits and moments of shared laughter. In Italy, Magic and Jordan were serenaded by musicians, grinning in delight.
Joining Johnson later in Italy were his family, including his wife Cookie, children Andre, EJ, and Elisa, daughter-in-law Lisa, and grandchildren Gigi and Avery, adding to the joyful atmosphere aboard the yacht.
With a total of 18 guests from five countries, Johnson’s Mediterranean adventure may become a recurring highlight, hinting at future voyages in the coming years.
