Christian Eriksen, a midfielder, acknowledges that he has previously turned down three offers to join Manchester United
Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen, who signed a three-year deal with Man Utd, made the decision to leave Brentford this summer. The three midfielders Pogba, Matic, and Mata have recently left Man Utd, therefore the former Inter Milan star is seen as a crucial addition to the team.
According to Eriksen, three managers recently expressed interest in signing him between 2013 and 2020 while he was still playing for Tottenham: Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, and Ole Solskjaer. Eriksen refused, though, and eventually made the decision to transfer to Inter Milan.
The midfielder, 30, stated these things: “All of the Man United coaches invited me while I was working at Tottenham. But I made the decision to remain at Tottenham because I believed I could not at that time play for another English team in England .”
“I ultimately decided to go up with Inter Milan. I want to experience a different atmosphere in Serie A because I have been with Tottenham for a very long period. My memories of joining Inter are positive ones.”
Immediately after Eriksen’s cardiac arrest at Euro 2020, everything changed. The Danish midfielder is not permitted to play again under Serie A regulations. Prior to beginning his official tenure at Old Trafford last month, Eriksen had to secure a brief position at Brenford.
Manchester United makes significant changes to their team. Three rookies have arrived at Old Trafford this summer, including Christian Eriksen. He agreed to a three-year deal with the Red Devils. One of United’s main players is anticipated to be the former Tottenham player.
The singer born in 1992 will reportedly earn around £150,000 per week, according to rumors. Last year, Eriksen made a successful comeback to the Premier League and made a name for himself while wearing a Brentford jersey.
Erik ten Hag, the team’s coach, thinks that Eriksen can calm the players down and add experience. In reality, Eriksen quickly established himself in Man Utd’s opening two games. In fact, he had one goal. Eriksen was notably courted by Tottenham but turned them down.
The midfielder from Denmark disclosed: “They [the Spurs] were never actually tied to anything, so it was just talk. Therefore, returning is not really something I should think about. at that moment, back to Tottenham.
Man United also participated in the negotiations quite early and vigorously, and I enjoyed speaking with them.”
This season, Eriksen promises to assist the Red Devils in regaining their spot in the top 4 of the Premier League.
