Real Madrid is targeting 5 attackers

Timo Werner is one of five strikers targeted by Real Madrid in the summer transfer window of 2022.

Real Madrid experienced an attacking personnel scarcity following a brilliant season that saw them win both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. When Mariano Diaz is set to be sold and Luka Jovic has transferred to Fiorentina, coach Ancelotti has no backup attackers for Karim Benzema. Los Blancos will now add strikers as a result of this.

Benjamin Sesko

In the 2022 summer transfer window, several top European teams will be interested in the 19-year-old talent. Sesko, who stands at 1.94 m and has the skills to glide and fight proficiently, is compared to “Haaland 2.0.” The international player from Slovenia scored 11 goals and sent out 6 assists in 12 appearances for Salzburg in 2016.

Edin Dzeko

Inter Milan acquired Dzeko from AS Roma in August 2021 to take Lukaku’s place. The Bosnian international, who is 36 years old, demonstrated his value last season with 17 goals and 10 assists in 49 games across all competitions. However, Dzeko’s employment is in peril due to Lukaku’s return to Inter Milan.

Edinson Cavani

Due to the international’s expertise, coach Ancelotti will have a strong backup plan for Benzema’s striker position. Cavani was previously an assistant at Manchester United before that. Every time he on the field, he played with passion and energy.

Timo Werner

The “white vulture” is said to be keeping an eye on the German striker thanks to the player’s versatility and flexibility. Werner is a striker who can play in any position on the attack, in the center of the attack and on both wings. In addition, the 26-year-old can also replace Vinicius Junior when needed, or join Benzema and the Brazilian star to form a new trio in the attack of “Los Blancos”.

Raul de Tomas

Similar to Werner, the Espanyol striker can play many positions in attack thanks to his technique and flexibility. Last season, Tomas had 17 goals in 34 La Liga games and was the league’s third-highest scorer. The Spaniard was once a product of Real Madrid’s youth academy and was introduced by coach Carlo Ancelotti to the “Los Blancos” first team. At the age of 27, Tomas is at the maturity of his career and will be a quality backup if he returns to the Bernabeu.
