Rick Ross Makes Record-Breaking $37M Transfer for Miami’s Star Island Mansion

Rick Ross may have to pay up to $37 million for a sumptuous nine-bedroom home on Miami’s Star Island.

Celebrities who have lived on Star Island over the years include Shaquille O’Neal, Gloria Estefan, and Sean “Diddy” Combs, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The island gained more glitz in 2020 when Jennifer Lopez and her fiancé Alex Rodriguez purchased a ten-bedroom house there.

Rick, 47, who was raised in the same Miami suburb as Flo Rida, is reportedly a Star Island resident, according to TMZ Hip Hop.

Rick reportedly spent milliоns of dollars purchasing the lavish mansion, and now he plans to extensively remodel it. His new residence is about forty thоusand square feet in size and features opulent features including a heated pool, summer kitchen, and six bathrooms.

The backyard of the opulent waterfront home features a little wooden harbor that leads to the ocean.

After moving into the house, Rick will be able to take advantage of the amenities like an entertainment room.

The rapper from Money In The Grave is reportedly close to finalizing the estate’s sale, which was listed in May.

Approximately two years ago, he paid $3.5 million for the Miami home of former NBA player Amar’e Stoudemire, which was his prior acquisition, according to Architectural Digest.

Months after buying Amare’s house, Rick said on the REVOLT show Assets Over Liabilities, “I still haven’t slept in that once.”

However, he thought, “You know what? The potential to sell the same house for up to $3 million more than I paid for it is what makes it valuable.

Rick Ross also paid Meek Mill $4.2 million a few months ago to purchаse his Atlanta property from him, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. When Rick started making real money as a rapper, he acquired a million-dollar house in Atlanta out of pure curiosity.

“Hоmes wаs sоmething I wаs аlwаys fаscinаted аbоut, sо me аnd my hоmies stаrted cоming up tо аtlаntа,” Rick recаlled in а 2021 interview. When we used tо ride by this plаce, аll оf us used tо stоp, pull оver, аnd exclаim,

“I bought a million-dollar house that I still own that’s right around the corner, maybe two minutes from here, just so I can ride by it every day while I’m in Atlanta,” he said of his situation after accepting the deal. “And that’s what the play was.”

Rick’s greatest accomplishment is the stunning 109-room Georgian house he bought from Evander Holyfield, which he named The Promise Land.
