Rihanna’s Opulent Oasis: A Luxurious Los Angeles Haven Fit for a Global Icon

2011 saw Rihanna sell the opulent house for $5 million (£4 million). She must have been relieved to get rid of the house because it was beset with troubles, including serious flooding that prompted the actress to sue the buyer’s agent and other relevant parties.

Celebrity couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen reportedly paid an astounding $14.1 million (£11.3 million) for the house in 2016, which is almost twice the amount Rihanna had sold it for. After living there until 2021, the couple sold the house for $16.8 million (£13.5 million). It appears that the mansion has found a new buyer once more, this time for $16.5 million (£13.2 million).

In 2012, after winning her fifth Grammy Award for the song “All of the Lights,” Rihanna’s career took off and she lavished $12 million (£9.6 million) on this opulent property in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles. With 11,000 square feet, it is unquestionably a house fit for a megastar.

The hilltop estate, which was constructed in 2009, has nine baths and seven bedrooms. The formal living room, which has picture windows overlooking the garden and a fireplace, is accessed through a grand two-story lobby. A large dining space with a wine cooler is also located on this level, making it ideal for A-list events.

The opulent master bedroom has a sitting space with a double-sided fireplace, and retractable glass doors open to the patio. The luxurious ensuite bathroom features a Jacuzzi, a rainforest shower, and a walk-in closet with a vanity.

The centerpiece of the house is the rooftop sundeck, which has a big pool, a covered outdoor kitchen area with a wet bar and an alfresco dining area, and an adjacent spa and waterfall. After the house was broken into several times, the celebrity packed up and rented it out for $65,000 (£51.9k) a month. A few years later, in 2016, she sold the house for $11.2 million (£8.9m).
