Ryan Gravenberch Appreciating His Life Beneath Arne Slot

This season, Ryan Gravenberch has emerged as a surprise. Even though Jürgen Klopp brought him to the team, it is current Head Coach Arne Slot that has allowed him to reach his full potential. For his superb performances that contributed to Liverpool’s incredible season opening win, he was named Standard Chartered Player of the Month for September.

Gravenberch discussed how training under the two employers differed.

“With the new coach, we started from zero again,” he remarked. Because we have a new coach who is making fresh decisions, everyone had to start over from scratch and demonstrate themselves once more, rather than trying to impress.

Naturally, there are differences in training due to the diverse staff. We are engaged in various workouts. It has been wonderful, but I think it’s a bit different this season because [Jürgen] Klopp had his routines and the coach likes to do his own exercises, the player remarked.

“I believe he enjoys everything in its proper place—that is, when we are in control and can use passes to finish off the opposition. I truly like that playing style and how we play together.

It’s evident from his huge performances and the Reds’ success that Slot and his playing style are a hit with other players as well as Gravenberch. Nine of their first ten games in all competitions have been victories.

Gravenberch acknowledges that learning how to play in the Premier League and adjusting to his new environment have contributed to his current success, even though he did not have as much playing time the previous season.

Gravenberch outlines how Liverpool 'training is different' under Arne Slot

Since every player is unique, I must admit that I prefer to take some time to adjust. Naturally, I wasn’t acclimated to the Premier League and hadn’t played much football before moving here, but I had the time to get used to it, and I needed it badly.

Building relationships on the field might take time, as each player is unique, as I previously mentioned. He remarked, “I believe that training frequently with your teammates helps you adjust to them and the league more quickly.

He gave ESPN an explanation of why things are going well with Slot.

“The coach sets me up and gives me confidence.” simply carry out my own plan. I still do the same things I did at Ajax.

“I talk to him about everything,” Gravenberch continued. The primary focus is football. We also discussed previous season. He and I get along well, and I’m glad he’s here. We both think similarly. He enjoys playing football and starting from the back. That also fits me very nicely.

The players’ swift adjustment to the new head coach and the way that their respect is showing on the field are encouraging. They’re all currently away for the October international break, but maybe Gravenberch and the others will be back soon to carry on the good times.
