In a stylish and intentionally understated sneaker campaign that embodies the brand’s timeless gray tones, BSTN has featured Sadio Mané, a forward for Al-Nassr and brand ambassador, in New Balance’s 2023 Grey Day festivities.
The adaptable hue of gray that New Balance initially used to complement the aspheric running tracks of the 1970s has become an emblem for the company. It now displays an approach to design that is both functional and sophisticated, appealing to a wide range of fashion and athletic trends.
Mané dons the versatile New Balance 550 from the “Moon Daze” collection in the most recent BSTN campaign, which emphasizes a “no frills, no fuss” attitude. In the videos, he doesn’t wear his usual football attire but rather a gilet puffer and sweatsuit that match the gray-blue components of the sneaker.
It is well-known that New Balance is not only associated with the gray color palette, but also with the brand itself. The shop frequently uses polished tones in its shoe designs and lookbooks. Images of Mané over a minimalist backdrop that transitions between full-color and grayscale continue to showcase inventive color theory in BSTN’s ad.
The complete campaign can be seen in the gallery up top. Head over to BSTN’s website right now to buy the New Balance 550 and the rest of the “Moon Daze” line.
James Trafford transfer tops Newcastle United’s transfer priorities
Newcastle United have reportedly targeted Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford as their top target for the forthcoming transfer window in an effort to strengthen their goalkeeping position (Fabrizio Romano). But with Chelsea and Liverpool also in the mix, Eddie Howe’s squad won’t have it easy.
Trafford, who rose through the ranks of Manchester City’s youth program, has garnered a lot of attention due to his meteoric rise. He has played in 28 Premier League matches for Burnley since joining the club last summer. He was benched for the last 10 games after letting in 62 goals, so clearly things didn’t go as planned.
There is a lot of demand for his services, notwithstanding the shaky beginning. After the Clarets’ relegation, clubs are targeting the 21-year-old because of his enormous potential and the chance to return to the Premier League. The former City goalkeeper has been linked with two English giants, Chelsea and Liverpool.

The Blues are aiming to strengthen their goalkeeping corps as well. They are seeking to add competition to their roster by acquiring the Burnley goalkeeper, although they are not completely sold on Robert Sánchez and Djordje Petrovic, who joined the club last season.
Despite interest from Chelsea and Liverpool, Newcastle United has set its sights on signing him this summer. Goalkeeper Nick Pope is now Eddie Howe’s first choice, but he wants additional competition. He thinks Trafford may be an excellent long-term and short-term addition to their team.
He may be able to accomplish a lot for them in the future because of his potential. The Magpies are prepared to start transfer negotiations with Burnley. It will be fascinating to observe how things turn out with the Tyneside club vying for his signature. Meanwhile, City will receive 20% of any transfer price, regardless of the final amount, if he leaves Burnley.
