Before the summer transfer window shuts, the Stamford Bridge team also intends to sign a few more pricey contracts
Following the departures of Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger, Chelsea had a firm strategy to bolster the center defense. Coach Thomas Tuchel therefore wants to get another pricey player in addition to Kalidou Koulibaly, but at the moment Wesley Fofana is his primary target.
According to Lyall Thomas, Fofana wants to join Stamford Bridge as well, but Leicester is making it tough for him. The British journalist commented on his own Twitter page:
“Wesley Fofana is growing more and more angry at Leicester. Fofana feels that the price makes it impossible for him to move to Chelsea, and he is dissatisfied that the club wants to pay more than £80 million for him. by Maguire.”
The value Leicester places on Fofana is wholly irrational, in theory. Fofana is currently only considered a young talent; he is totally unable to compete with the finest center defenders in the Premier League. Even the talented 21-year-old has not yet had the chance to make his French debut.
Meanwhile, when he joined Manchester United, Maguire was already regarded as one of the best central defenders in the Premier League, as well as a key member of the England national team. As a result, Chelsea has every reason to refuse to respond to Leicester’s request.
Chelsea made the first bid for Aubameyang, but Barcelona countered.
Chelsea entered the summer transfer market with a significant loss in defense, as Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen both left on free transfers. However, few people anticipate that the Blues’ attack will be in the same boat.
Timo Werner, like Romelu Lukaku, recently announced his departure from Chelsea to return to RB Leipzig. Obviously, even though Lukaku and Werner both failed to live up to expectations, the Blues had to plan to bring in more strikers because, in the eyes of coach Thomas Tuchel, only Armando Broja was a genuine number nine.
Tuchel requested that his former student Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang be brought to Stamford Bridge, according to the media. Aubameyang’s main kick at Camp Nou is currently in the hands of Robert Lewandowski, so Tuchel understandably wants to seize this opportunity to reunite the Gabonese striker. However, Chelsea faces significant challenges in this transaction.
According to Relevo, Barcelona quickly rejected a 14 million euro offer from Chelsea. At the same time, the Blaugrana team made it clear to the Stamford Bridge team that they will only let Aubameyang leave if they receive 20 million euros.
Although he has no plans to leave Barcelona, Aubameyang is said to be interested in the huge salary offered by the Blues. It is known that they are willing to double his current salary at Camp Nou.
