WrestleMania 40 took place last weekend in the US, where Johnson teamed up with his cousin Roman Reigns to secure a victory against the duo of Cody Rhodes and the heavyweight world champion Seth Rollins.
During the match, there was a moment where Reigns rushed in for an attack, but both opponents dodged, causing him to crash into Johnson, leaving many fans worried that the match might have to be stopped due to “The Rock” sustaining a serious injury.
Reacting to the incident, one fan wrote: “I couldn’t imagine his career going down because of that incident.”
Another said: “For WWE, ‘The Rock’ needs a stunt double.”
A third person asserted: “I think he tore a ligament, having to end his career at 51, but thankfully everything still went as the audience desired.”
The match concluded with a victory for Johnson and Reigns, both of whom were awarded the prestigious WWE belts by the organizers.
Since WrestleMania 32 eight years ago, Johnson has made his return to the WWE ring, but his physique and strength seem to remain intact. He received much praise from the audience.
One fan account praised: “Oh my, even after 8 years, ‘The Rock’ still hasn’t changed.”
Another wrote: “Amazing, Johnson looks truly awesome. He’s indeed a sports legend.”
A third account summed it up: “The Rock is 51. There’s absolutely nothing to criticize about his physique.”
