Thomas Tuchel : ‘Conte has a lot of attitude’

Thomas Tuchel spoke out about the game and the scuffle at the end of the hour, which resulted in him and Conte being sent off

Thomas Tuchel has blamed Antonio Conte for his outlandish behavior during the Tottenham vs. Chelsea match.

Tottenham drew a lucky draw against Chelsea in a tense match from start to finish. Both coaches, Conte and Tuchel, were shown red cards at the end of the game.

When the final whistle blew, both coaches went to shake hands, but a conflict erupted, and the two rushed into a scuffle with each other.

‘I want when we shake hands, we have to look each other in the eye, but Conte didn’t do that, he really has attitude,’ Tuchel said after the press conference. That’s what caused the referee to make a bad decision for us.’

Coach Tuchel was also critical of referee Anthony Taylor in this Derby match. ‘Both goals were void, it’s ridiculous,’ he said. Only one team deserves to win, and that is ours.”

‘I don’t understand. The entire dressing room was baffled. I am disappointed that the players did not receive the outcomes they deserved today. That’s because the choices are so perplexing. Perhaps the referee should have referred to the VAR instead.’

Both coaches were shown two yellow cards in the second half after arguing about Kai Havertz being fouled by Rodrigo Bentancur prior to Pierre-Emile Hojberg’s unstoppable shot from distance. Tottenham wins the draw.

‘I think we’d better talk about the game,’ Conte said when asked about the late-game brawl. I don’t want to go into detail about the incident off the field or my relationship with Tuchel. The referee showed me a red card, but he had no idea what had happened between me and Tuchel. That’s fine; I have to accept it. I’m pleased with today’s results.’

The London Derby was extremely entertaining when both teams shared points, not only on the field of tit-for-tat but also on Pitch, as the coaches always knew how to create heat for this confrontation.
