Manchester United might sabotage Liverpool’s £83 million prodigy trade
Since Arne Slot took over as manager of the Reds during the just finished summer, Liverpool has hardly made any additions. The Dutch manager is making due with a roster that was largely handed down from his predecessor, Jurgen Klopp. In order to give Slot the players who best fit his style of play, Kirkby’s management hopes to put things right during the next 2025 transfer window.
The Merseysiders have already begun creating a plan to obtain any managerial edge over their Premier League competitors in order to improve their chances of acquiring the top players.
According to Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Liverpool is pursuing the 17-year-old Portuguese wonderkid with Manchester City and Manchester United as they search for players from all around Europe and beyond. The Reds have also been linked to Sporting CP star Geovany Quenda.
Although Sporting CP’s Quenda is attractive, it will be very expensive.Quenda quickly established himself as a vital member of Ruben Amorim’s team, which has aided a potential transfer to the Premier League since certain European elites are on high alert due to his developing confidence.
The report further maintains that when Sporting CP’s played Sturm Graz in the UEFA Champions League, the three Premier League scouts were present.
However, given his age and somewhat unknown qualities, it would be tough for any of his pursuers to get him on a cheap deal because the young player has a contract with his current employers that extends until 2027 and has an £83 million release clause.
In the following months, it remains to be seen if any of the clubs would make a serious attempt to sign Geovany Quenda.
