Xavi wants to get 2 more Chelsea stars

Barcelona coach Xavi has told Chelsea duo Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso that he will do whatever it takes to bring them to the Camp Nou.

Chelsea’s relationship with Barca has recently taken a serious hit when the La Liga side signed Sevilla defender Jules Kounde, who agreed to join the Blues. Previously, Chelsea also reached an agreement on the transfer price with Leeds United for Raphinha, but in the end Barca was still the winning team.

Not stopping there, Barca is said to want to sign Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso of Chelsea, they accept to spend 30 million euros to own two Spaniards. According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Barcelona coach Xaxi has told duo Azpilicueta and Alonso that he will do whatever it takes to bring them to the Camp Nou.

Barca interested in Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso

Specifically, Xavi regularly contacted two Chelsea players to convince them to come to Camp Nou. Alonso has admitted that he wants to return to Spain to play football, while Azpilicueta is also ready to leave to play more often.

Coach Thomas Tuchel himself admitted feeling angry when Barca tried to woo Alonso and Azpilicueta. Barcelona also hope that Chelsea’s pursuit of Frenkie de Jong can help in negotiations.

Chelsea have previously let Andreas Christensen go to Barca and Antonio Rudiger to Real on a free transfer, although they have signed Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly but the Blues still want to keep Azpilicueta and Alonso to ensure squad depth.

Chelsea will only release two Spaniards if they add Wesley Fofana of Leicester, Presnel Kimpembe of PSG or Nathan Ake of Man City.
