In that starting group, James would play with rising star Jalen Brunson and All-Star forward Julius Randle on a team that still has a lot of young talent. To be honest, New York might want to move Julius Randle instead of Barrett. Because of this, they are likely to go after Barrett, who can do a lot of different jobs and is easy to get along with. Barrett can be a team cornerstone for years to come.

They may want to keep the gas pedal pressed down. Still, the Kings could try to make a deal for L.A. if James were open for trade talks.
There would have to be a move for skilled big man Domantas Sabonis first. Some people in Sacramento think he is the best player there. The Kings do trade Kevin Huerter, Davion Mitchell, and Richaun Holmes, though, in order to match salaries. All three players are very important.
Since this trade is pretty much a 4-for-1 deal, Sacramento may feel like they got the best deal. How well Malik Monk does as a starter when Huerter isn’t available, though, could change that.
