Ja Morant, NBA Star, Flaunts His Rolls-Royce Dawn Ahead of Memphis Victory Over GSW in Game 5

Despite Kevin Durant sidelined on the bench in casual attire—the same outfit he sported earlier while standing beside his Rolls-Royce Dawn in what appeared to be his driveway—the Grizzlies came close to winning Game 4 in San Francisco before dominating the Warriors in Game 5.

Previously, we showcased Morant’s other ride, a Dodge Charger 392 Scat Pack, which naturally comes at a lower price point compared to a Rolls-Royce. If you recall that piece, you might remember my likening of the Charger’s vibe to that of Ja’s Memphis Grizzlies squad in 2021–2022. While those comparisons hold true, I’m hardly surprised that he also possesses a vehicle as luxurious as a Rolls-Royce Dawn. Considering a Dawn’s price tag of around $356,500, and Morant signing a 4-year, $39.6 million contract with the Grizzlies back in 2019, it’s fitting. The Dawn, revamped in 2015, shares the platform with the Ghost and succeeds the Phantom Drophead Coupe. Moreover, it’s one of the two Rolls-Royce models still utilizing BMW architecture.

The “regular” model boasts a 6.6-liter V12 twin-turbo engine, delivering 563 horsepower (571 ps) and 605 lb-ft (820 Nm) of torque, while the Black Badge edition ramps up to 593 horsepower (601 ps) and 620 lb-ft (841 Nm). With this luxurious convertible, you can accelerate to 60 mph in under 5 seconds, all while enjoying the smoothest ride possible. For someone like Ja, who always puts in maximum effort on the basketball court, this vehicle is perfect.

This Friday at 10:00 p.m. ET, the Grizzlies, led by Jared Dudley, will continue their season against the Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry, aiming to force a Game 7.

This isn’t the first time one of Ja’s vehicles has had to carry the equivalent weight of an NBA point guard. He famously stood on the hood of his Mercedes-Benz Sprinter a few years back.

Ja, we know you’re the most entertaining guard in the league right now and we adore your game, but we can’t help but imagine that hood crumpling.

Not to be hateful again. He paid good, hard-earned NBA money for these cars as they are his own. If he so chooses, he can leap up and down on the roof. Yes, it is heartbreaking to consider what his automobiles are going through here.
