Jay-Z and Beyoncé are the owners of the second most expensive home in the history of American real estate, valued at $400 million

Jay-Z and Beyoncé have recently acquired an extraordinary architectural gem in the United States: a 30,000-square-foot residence situated in the coveted location of Malibu. According to real estate insiders as reported by TMZ, the couple splurged a staggering $200 million for the property, marking it as the priciest home sale ever recorded in California’s history, surpassing the former record of $177 million.

This purchase also ranks as the second most expensive real estate transaction nationwide, trailing behind a $238 million deal for a New York City apartment.

They secured an incredible bargain as the house was discreetly listed for an astonishing $295 million.

The residence is situated on an 8-acre bluff with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean in the Paradise Cove area, also known as Billionaires’ Row.

Furthermore, it’s a masterpiece of architecture crafted by Tadao Ando, a renowned Japanese architect, who is also the creative mind behind the residence purchased by Kanye West in Malibu.

Originally owned and constructed by William Bell, a prominent art collector, the house took nearly 15 years to build. The entire structure is crafted from concrete.

This marks the couple’s second significant real estate acquisition in the Los Angeles region that has come to public attention. In 2017, they acquired a mansion in Bel-Air for $88 million, subsequently investing millions more into the property, surpassing the $100 million threshold.
