Rihanna goes big with a sky-high Century City penthouse purchase, keeping the price under wraps while celebrating a new arrival

Rihanna has made The Century, one of the most expensive and prominent residential towers in Los Angeles, her primary residence since the year 2014. With a new baby and a second child on the way, employees, and her constant entourage, she is experiencing a sense of crowdedness in her home that is 3,500 square feet in size and has three bedrooms.

In order to rectify this issue, the Barbadian superstar invested a sum of twenty-one million dollars in the acquisition of one of the most expansive properties at The Century. This particular residence is a penthouse that occupies the entire forty-first level of the building. With more than 9,000 square feet of living space, various unique features, and spectacular views, the spread is truly suitable for any A-list celebrity.

Nick Molnar, a billionaire as well as the co-founder of the internet company Afterpay, was the one who ultimately sold the flat. He had initially requested $28 million for the property. On the other hand, Rihanna was able to negotiate a large discount and most likely used the mansion tax in Los Angeles as leverage. This is due to the fact that the purchаse was concluded on March 31, which was only one day before the new tax went into effect. Should the acquisition have been finalized in the month of April, Molnar would have been required to pay an additional $1.1 million in taxes.

As soon as guests step off the private elevator landing and into the entrance gallery of the condominium, they are astonished by the curved wall of floor-to-ceiling windows that can be seen in the living room. These windows offer breathtaking views of the mountainous landscape of the city. The kitchen is completely white and features marble countertops, two islands, and high-end appliances. The dining area can be accessed through the rich brown hardwood floors that flow into the kitchen.

A master suite that features a curved bedroom, two custom closets, two bathrooms, and a separate lounge is also included on the property. Additionally, there is a soundproof movie theater with velour couches situated on the premises. It is likely that the most spectacular aspects of the condo are its four unique outdoor terraces, which face north, south, east, and west respectively and provide panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Catalina Island, Downtown Los Angeles skyscrapers, the San Gabriel mountains, and even Mount Baldy, which is covered in snow.

The monthly HOA fee for Rihanna’s penthouse is a hefty $8,814, but in exchange, she has access to all of the building’s best amenities. These amenities include four deeded parking spaces in the garage, a concierge who is available around the clock, security guards, access to an outdoor pool and lush gardens, on-site storage, an on-site restaurant, conference rooms, and a great deal more.
