Immersed in Extravagance: Exploring the Dazzling Splendor of Steve Harvey’s $15M Atlanta Mansion
Steve Harvey follows Madea. Usually, these obstacles are humorous. Harvey, a comedian who transitioned to talk show hosting, and his spouse Marjorie reportedly spent $15 million for Tyler Perry’s Buckhead property in Atlanta, Georgia, according to TMZ.
Harvey and Perry’s programming may be the foundation of a TV network. The sixty-three-year-old hosts “Showtime at the Apollo,” “Celebrity Family Feud,” and Miss Universe.
Perry has programs on a number of networks, including Nickelodeon, BET, Netflix, and OWN. Before they became well-known performers, they were both destitute and lived in their automobiles.
After almost two years on the market at an exorbitant $25 million asking price, Perry sold the 35,000 square foot property for $17.5 million in 2016. The mansion was Atlanta’s most expensive real estate transaction, even with the millions of dollars that separated the asking price and the sale price.
Breathe deeply before learning about all of the features of this seven-bedroom, 9.5-bath home. The background is composed of 17 acres of well-kept grounds, groomed gardens, a 70,000-gallon infinity pool, a lit tennis court, a well equipped gym, and a separate spa.
Together with other amenities, the lavish mansion has a guesthouse, guardhouse, detached caretaker’s suite, advanced security system, and a backup generator that can power the entire property.
The French Provincial style of the main residence includes an underground ballroom with catering kitchen, an indoor pool, a theater, and a wine cellar.
David Turner, a former businessman turned evangelist, bought Perry and sold Harvey, according to buckhead.com. His real estate purchases and business endeavors appear ridiculous. “I went online and saw this house, and I felt like God told me, ‘This is your house,'” he said to the publication. When he sold the mansion, Turner lost $2.5 million (not including carrying expenses, upgrades, and broker fees).
Harvey is listing a 6,500 square foot, five-bedroom, 6.5 bathroom estate in Little Elm, Texas, along with a large property in Atlanta, for $1.1 million. Before buying the Perry house, he and his family lived in a $100,000 per month guard-gated neighborhood mansion in the Californian highlands above Beverly Hills.
